For the first time in a number of years, the Midget Boys team spent a mid-February evening practicing outdoors.

A scheduling conflict saw the team arrive at St. Norbert Arena only to be greeted by the Peewee Twins preparing for a game at the same time as their scheduled practice allotment.

With it being the Midget Twins’ final practice before the team left on the bus for their tournament in South Bend, Indiana, the coaches determined the best course of action was to carry on with practice as scheduled… on the outdoor ice, that is.

As the team dressed into their full equipment in the old clubhouse, Head Coach of 38 years Jonathan Brooks shovelled off the six inches of snow on the entire rink in preparation for practice.

Although initially quite skeptical of the idea, the team thoroughly enjoyed the evening of shinny under the falling snow.
